SBA 7(a) Loan Program

The SBA 7(a) Loan Program is the U.S. Small Business Administration’s primary business loan program. It can help eligible small businesses obtain financing through participating lenders for a wide range of business purposes.

Maximum Loan Amount

Eligible borrowers may qualify for SBA 7(a) financing of up to $5 million, subject to SBA program requirements, lender underwriting, and borrower eligibility.

Common Uses

SBA 7(a) financing may be used for eligible business purposes including:

  • Working capital
  • Business acquisitions
  • Complete or partial changes of ownership
  • Business expansion
  • Machinery and equipment
  • Furniture, fixtures, and supplies
  • Refinancing eligible business debt
  • Leasehold improvements
  • Acquiring, refinancing, or improving qualifying commercial real estate
  • Construction or renovation of qualifying business property
  • Multiple eligible business purposes within a single financing transaction

Repayment Terms

Repayment terms depend on the use of proceeds, the borrower’s repayment ability, and the useful life of the assets being financed.

Generally:

  • Working capital and most business-purpose financing: up to 10 years
  • Equipment financing: generally up to 10 years, although longer terms may be available when justified by the useful life of the equipment
  • Commercial real estate financing: up to 25 years, subject to SBA program requirements

Interest rates are negotiated between the borrower and the participating lender and are subject to applicable SBA maximums.

Important: SBA financing is subject to lender underwriting and SBA eligibility requirements. White Feather Capital LLC is not an SBA lender. See our SBA Business Financing Disclosure for additional information.
