Export Working Capital Program [EWCP]

The SBA Export Working Capital Program [EWCP] is designed for eligible small businesses that generate export sales and need additional working capital to support those sales.

The program can provide financing before an export sale or contract is fully completed, helping exporters manage the cash-flow demands associated with producing, purchasing, or delivering goods and services for international customers.

Maximum Loan Amount

Eligible businesses may qualify for financing of up to $5 million.

The SBA guaranty may be as high as 90%, subject to applicable program requirements.

Potential Uses

Depending on the transaction and participating lender requirements, EWCP financing may help eligible exporters support:

  • Export inventory
  • Export purchase orders and contracts
  • Accounts receivable generated from export sales
  • Pre-shipment production and operating expenses
  • Supplier and vendor payments associated with export transactions
  • Labor and other costs required to fulfill export orders
  • Other qualifying export-related working-capital needs

The program is intended to give exporters greater flexibility in financing export sales and negotiating payment terms with international customers.

Line of Credit Structure

EWCP financing is generally structured as a working-capital line of credit. Revolving line terms may generally extend up to 36 months, depending on lender underwriting and SBA requirements.

Export-related inventory and foreign accounts receivable generated by financed export sales may generally serve as important collateral for the facility, subject to the participating lender’s underwriting and collateral requirements.

Important: SBA financing is subject to lender underwriting and SBA eligibility requirements. White Feather Capital LLC is not an SBA lender. See our SBA Business Financing Disclosure for additional information.
